Yes, forgiveness takes two
by: Mike

Thanks Fred, very good points.
"looking first to yourself to see if it’s true. It is the basis for healing of erroneous thoughts and destructive patterns. Is it easy? No"

Herein lies the challenge, stepping out of your own way to look, rather than going into autopilot where "it can't be me!".

Is clarity a function of intelligence? Are only "smart" people able to see past themselves and spiritually progress?

Forgiveness implies separation
by: Phil

Very nice, Fred. As I see it, and as I think you are alluding to, forgiveness is necessary as long as there is blame, and blame is inevitable as long as it's believed that we are in control.

As it implies in your photo, forgiveness means God (however that is conceived) has made a mistake, since the individual is not in control. Understandably, the issue of free will is a hot button for lots of folks.
